Autometer guages, which tach & speedo for stock 91 Firebird cluster?

Hey guys,

I've searched this up and down and can't get a straight answer. I have a 91 Firebird and I want to keep the stock guage look. I want to run a new speedo and new tach. I also converted my trans to a T-56 from a 700R4. What guages do I need to buy, and do they fit in the stock cluster. I am carbed, so I have no computer and no cruise.

Any help is appreciated.

none of the autometer gauges look like the stock ones, so just get the 5" ones that you like and slap them in. You will need to clearance the back of the cluster housing to get them to fit.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know where I can get any pics of those guages in the newer firebird dash?

Also, does anyone have a part number for an Autometer Speedo that works with the T-56? I don't want to buy a box with it. The motor has no computer also. I'm looking to buy an Autometer 5" electric tach to go into my cluster as well.

The electronic Autometer Speedos are electronically cailibrated by a short 2 mile drive to gather how many pulses per mile the speedo sender uses.
the T56 if I remember correctly was 4000 pulses/mile when we were calibrating the setup above.

there are a few people here that have the similar setups in the newer 85-92 dash (if that is what you are referring to). check threads in the appearance and detailing as well as body and interior forums.
