Distributor Hold-down Clamp

I've run a forum search and found that having my distributor hold-down clamp upside down can cause the distributor to be loose. Which way is upside right? Should the bend point up or down?

I realize its a silly question, but thanks for the help!

It should be bowed up where the bolt goes through.
