Will a stock fuel pump work?????

I just bought an 86 Iroc. The original 305 tpi was replaced with a pretty hot 350. The motor has the 186 casting heads with 2.02/1.60 valves. the cam is fairly mild like a 280 or something close. It has the TPIS big mouth manifold with the 52mm throttle body and 20lbs/hr injectors. I bought a stock pump for 1987 350 TPI ,,will it work???????

Re: Will a stock fuel pump work?????

It will.

In the future though, buy the one for the 89 Turbo T/A. It's the same one that the first Vortec trucks ran and it goes right in. Most auto parts stores keep them in the stock and they are the same price.

They deliver more volume and pressure. Of course, a Wallbro or other aftermarket source is probably better, but I don't use them. I always use the vortec pump.
