Question on motor weight
I'm about to buy a 750lb engine stand to completely rebuild a 305 with. Is this stand strong enough to hold a complete 305? (oil pan to carburetor)

Re: Question on motor weight
Indeed. But if you're looking at the one legged tripod type of thing, those are sketchy. Be careful, it's pretty easy to spin the engine over and drop the whole thing on your foot, it doesn't have a very big footprint. I really prefer the dual leg style.

i agree about the three legged stand, i dropped a motor on one of those things and it totaly trashed my PS pump and brackets. about makes you want to cry.
