Car Won't Start, Clicking Sound? Please Help!
hey everybody, i recently finished installing a Weiand Action Plus intake. Not too long ago i put the battery booster on the car, gave it a crank.. and i saw the alternator begin moving slowly, but then I got a rapid clicking noise coming from somewhere? My car won't start now, I just keep getting that noise. I hear it struggling to start, trying to turn over, but then I get the click. One thing that i didnt put in yet is the bolt with 2 wires that bolts into the alternator. looks like to ground the wires. Help me out guys, thanks in advance!

Just to clear up any confusion, this is the bolt I am talking about:

----------
If that is the case, do you think i need a completely new battery? Or can i get it started with the battery booster? Also, any idea where that bolt goes in? Thanks in advance

'87 TBI? Never heard of it. What's the 8th character of the VIN?
That bolt usually goes to the intake manifold, typically the thermostat housing.

If you are absolutely sure where that bolt goes, reinstall it.
Make sure the cables are connected well to the battery.
Your battery may not fully charged. The battery could be a gonner too.
Can you start it with jumper cables from another car?
I've never used a battery booster. How well does that work?
How was the car doing before you installed the intake?
How long has it been since you used the car?

Bad ground, or bad battery.
If youre sure the battery good you have a bad ground.
1 click i usually a ground issue. Sometimes itll start out of nowhere.
Lots of clicks means low/dead battery.
Put the bolt back in, see if its any better, and lubricate your ground points (not on the battery, but battery to ground, engine to chassis). WD40 works fine.

Hey guys. Thanks for the help.. I got a new battery and the car started. only thing is, it was kinda jumpy.. and it seemed like smoke was coming out of a fitting in the back of the manifold? It screws in and then has a little pipe that sticks out, im guessing a hose is to run to it. Truth is, I didnt pay enough attention with some of the hoses.. Also, theres a hose that branches out from the two coolant hoses that run over the passenger valve cover.. I dont know where that goes. Here are some of the hoses i'm not sure about.
That's an old picture.. When I started the car, it was jumpy, and i was hearing "pop-po-popop" coming from my exhaust, so I shut the car off. I also have to replace the vacuum line that broke off the back of my carb.
Any ideas will be much appreciated, I want my beast back!
Thanks everyone.
