Need help on installing sender for fuel pressure gauge on TPI...

Yes, I did search but found no answers for my dilemma. I have an aftermarket electric fuel pressure gauge I want to install on my 305TPI. Originally when I searched, there were plenty of threads talking about connecting the sender to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. The connection that I have is 1/8 npt, from the research, I believe the Schrader valve is -4an or 1/4 pipe thread... well after driving around town to different home improvement stores and different autoparts stores, I thought I had all the correct pieces to try to install the sender to the valve.. so I hooked it up and turned the car on only to find gasoline leaking everywhere. I took the Schrader valve off thinking the hole it goes in is also -4an...not so. Its actually smaller thread than the valve... I was not able to successfully connect the 1/8npt sender to the Schrader valve, even with the "correct" parts. I think the thread spacing totally screwed everything up. Under a normal engine, I'm sure it would have worked with the lower fuel pressure rates, but with TPI the pressure is higher forcing any fuel out of any microscopic gaps in the threading...not good...

So here is my question now, is there a part of the hard fuel lines that run under the car that had threading on it? Somewhere I could find a normal pipe fitting to tap into? I would have loved to use the fuel rail, but I don't think thats possible at the moment... I'd rather not order $20 pieces from Summit. I was just thinking of getting a t-fitting and connecting that between the line and onto the sender. Is there anywhere on the car I could do this? Thanks...

You must have some wrong parts, both my fuel pressure gauges I use go on the valve finger tight and never have leaked. I'd look for the correct parts to do it. Doesn't the manufacturer of the gauge offer parts and support?

I think I do have the wrong parts...or something stripped... I'm going to go look under the car later. I believe I saw somewhere about hard lines going to rubber lines...I'll investigate that... either way I'm going to call Earl's tomorrow and just suck it up and order the correct parts... thanks for the reply...
