Well basically, i was driving a couple of days ago, and my car was running just fine, and all the sudden, im driving down in some college, and a speed bump just jumps up out of nowhere, and im doing about 15 miles an hour. So right after that, i notice that my car is running like crap. Its idling rough as hell, when i accelerate it shakes and basically is running at about half power, but other than that the exhaust sounds weird, and there is a strange ticking nosie coming from or around the y-pipe area, any ideas?

 

Is it a rattling noise? If so, you could've broken the ceramic in a catalytic converter.

 

nah, its just a ticking noise, ive heard a rattling before, but nothing was ever messed up
