Hey guy, i was driving my 87 GTA yesterday and all of sudden the rpm guage started bugging out , it was dropping and going up now it wont even work corretly when i rev it up alot it says 3000 or 2000, so i think the sensor is bad where would it be for me to change and where would i buy one

Hey shotgun13, When the tach goes crazy, does it drop off all the way to
zero then back to normal ? If so, I would consider your ignition module may
be about to go bad. I've had two go bad and just before they gave up the ghost, the tachometer started doing what yours is doing. The module can be removed from the distributor and tested at most auto parts places.

well i just drove the car and now its normal but when it was happening it wouldn't go back to normal at all
