My car has trouble moving!!!

Okay heres the thing, I have a 1989 camaro RS V6 and i recently replaced the radiator, and after that i would start it up and put it ib gear but it wouldnt go anywhere all it would do is rev way up. So finally i thought to check the trans fluid and of course it was bone dry so i put some in and now it moves but I still have to rev it really high for it to go anywhere.

And I was wondering if anyone could tell me where my thermostat is because my temp gauge is all messed up it says my car is VERY hott but the engine is only warm!

If you can't find your thermostat you should probably bring your car to a mechanic..

You should just tell him. After all isnt this a place where people come to learn things about their car? I'm sorry I can't tell you (I don't know either)but it just ticks me off when people say something like that.

I find that hard to believe unless you're a real NEWCOMER to the SBC(small block chevrolet) world. However, follow the hose that comes off the top of the radiator to the front of the intake manifold...you'll see whats called the thermostat housing(two bolts), remove bolts, lift up the housing and you'll find the thermostat.
