85 camaro 2.8l no spark

Ok, I have an 85 camaro with a 2.8l (automatic). I'm not getting any spark at all. I have replaced the ignition control module and pickup coil. I tryed a new coil but I never bolted it in just had it sitting there. I have the 12v when key is on, and when I have a test light connected the light is light til I go to start it then It goes out til i turn the key off. Any ideas?

Thanks!

pretty sure i've run into the same problem right now. if so, it's the timing chain.

Re: 85 camaro 2.8l no spark

Actually, I already installed a brand new timing set (marks lined up), but I'm not getting any spark from the coil period! I'm not sure, I tryed a new one but didn't bolt it in, I wasn't sure if it needed to be grounded or not. Someone said it could be the ignition switch but I don't know how to test that. I'm lost, I've bought the new parts and I'm getting no where. I know the two circuit breakers are not there on the fuse panel and I was wondering if they made a difference and if there were any fuses under the hood that could be cuasing me not to have spark.
