Normal TPI idle

Can anyone tell me what their cars idle at when warm? TPI automatic. I show about 750 RPM, is that too high?

Re: Normal TPI idle

The tag under the hood should tell you. It think it's about 700 RPMs for your car/year/transmission. Stock tachs are notoriously inaccurate, so don't go by that.

My old 86 with a 305 TPI and auto trans had a stock idle speed of only 550 RPMs!

For me:

1000 cold in park
750 warm in park
600 warm in drive.
