ECT / Ran Fan Switch Connectors?

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can buy the connectors for the wire end that plugs into the Ran Fan switch (might be the ECT but I am pretty sure its the Rad fan switch, passenger side anyways)? Mine got screwed and now it's just dangling there causing my secondary fan not to come on and my car overheats in the pit lane while I'm waiting to race :P

I try to keep all kinds of wierd terminals but the METRIPAC terminals are nearly impossible to find. I would just try to find a junker without an engine and cut the pigtail off.
Same thing goes for some of those "one-of-a-kind" housings that only plug into ONE thing. Anybody ever break a latch on one of those? Now ya' got tywraps holding the plug in. (Or worse, silicone?)
That's some quality workmanship huh?
Chop off a pigtail and splice the wire. (you know, those pretty splices with solder joints covered by shrink tube)

Go to the auto parts store and ask them for their specialty electrical connectors catalog and learn how to look stuff up in it. They have all kinds of weird connectors, including various engine electrical connecotrs- TPS, IAC, various switches and sensors, etc.

Re: ECT / Ran Fan Switch Connectors?

Virtually every "real" parts store, and even some of the others like AutoZone and such, has an aisle with electric pigtails hanging on it, right out in the open. Go check out that aisle. Just get the one that fits the fan switch.

You don't need to get it from a F body. ALL GM cars use the same connectors. They're VERY common and widely available everywhere, cheep and easy to get. There's no excuse for not keeping good ones installed on your car.

Getting a junk one is not a good idea. It'll have the same problems yours has now.
