I got this tach free from a friend that was at a rally and some kid freaked out on the tach for some reason and asked if any one had wire cutters my friend happened to be the closest one with a leatherman. I did figure this out at one point and I understand that they are power, ground, illumination and signal, i don't understand where to get a dampener and where to tap for the signal. here is a pic

 

red=hot (in fuse box) black= ground(to metal frame) yellow= hot for tach light(fuse box to fuse thats hot only when ign. switch is on) green= tach side on dizzy,hth jimmy

 

well yes and no. i knew where to get power and ground and illumination, didn't know which was which though. where on the dizzy? where to get a dampener so that the needle doesn't jump all over the place.

there are 4 wires going to the coil mine are pink and white the back two go into a wire loom, theres a connector ,gray with white wire this should be where you hook into.later jimmy
