Temperature Gauge + Water Pump

I tried installing an aftermarket sunpro temperature gauge yesterday. I used teflon and everything and the water pump started leaking. Any suggestions? I have the correct sized fitting

I had the same problem, I ended up stripping the adapter, so i used the other adapter and put it in the head. or go to a hardware store and get a stronger adapter. The brass is to weak.

Re: Temperature Gauge + Water Pump

My adapter is not stripped and I think it's leaking out of the fitting that goes into the water pump because there are 2 fittings one that goes into the other fitting and the one that goes into the pump itself. I tried like 3 different times and just finally gave up and put the original plug back in
