What kind of heads?

Hey I got this motor i'm building and i have these spare heads. They appear to say 193's on them and they have a mild port job. Are they worth anything? Are they clean enough still to bolt to a 305tbi? How well do they flow? Any information would be appriciated, if your interested in them let me know what their worth to ya and i'll sell them for a reasonable price. I also have an extra set of vortec #906's for sale fully assembled. Pictures are down below.

193's? 198's?

*Notice the porting job, the surface is smoother*

Vortec heads #906 for sale $500 shipped!!!!!!!!! Came off of a boat motor with very little run time, super clean comes with springs and all, wont find a cleaner set of used heads!

Thanks for any info!

Re: What kind of heads?

193s are the 350 TBI swirl port heads.
Most guys hate them, the don't flow very well in the top end. They do however, induce a ton of swirl at low rpm (under 4000) and give loads of torque.
They will be no good to put on a 305 because of their large combusion chambers, you'd have like 8.x compression ratio, not good for performance.

I'd be interested in those 906 Vortecs, but not at that price. Rather go to the local junkyard and get them for $70/pair.

if you can find a pair of 906's for $70 a pair then good luck. They would be gone before you could even call and ask about them. Everywhere on the internet sells for $285 a piece.

So i would lose power bolting those 350 heads on to the 305tbi?

Re: What kind of heads?

yes itll drop your compression ratio drastically. if you have a 305 tbi you already have basically the same heads on your motor that flow a tiny bit less and have the smaller needed combustion chamber for you.
