Another how much HP?

I have a fairly fresh 355ci roller block Edelbrock 1407 600cfm carb and Edelbrock performer rpm intake, 081 heads, an lg4 cam, 10.5:1 ish cr and stock headers with straight exhaust to the back.

desktop dyno 2000 says 256 hp 270 tq with head flow data plugged in and the tiny cam all that may make it inaccurate is the cam because i don't know some of the figures so i plugged them in for a (stock/street/economy) cam with the correct lift i know the cam is the most important part but what can you do it wants IVO IVC EVO and EVC (BTDC) and intake centerline (crank degrees)if any one has these numbers it would also be appreciated

thats about right. That cam BLOWS. Get a cam. AT LEAST and LT1 or ZZ4 cam. Hell even a vortec cam is FAR more aggressive than that. I'll sell ya a Vortec cam for $10 plus shipping is you want it.

yep taht cam is small. Lt1 cam would be sweet for 300hp in that car

Re: Another how much HP?

ill probably go with an Lt1 cam and a better exhaust, the exhaust is more of a power robber than the cam believe it or not. with the lt1 cam exhaust makes about a 25 hp difference i would like to do an lt4 hot cam but it has too much lift.

after i got some more cam data the simulator gives me restarted numbers 228 hp at 4000rpm and 386 ft/lb at 2000rpm I'm beginning not to believe this simulator but the exact number for intake centerline (crank degrees) would be sweet.

Re: Another how much HP?

an LT1 cam in a good tuned setup, SHOULD make near 260-270 whp with your combo. I'm going by what i made with my HSR and what a few other guys have done with carbed L98 blocks. i made 254 with L98 cam with 1.6 rockers. thats CLOSE to a LT1 cam. you have more compression and i had a lean tune, so im thinking you can get 260-270 whp which is good for somewhere around 315-325 ish crank hp.
