Serpentine brace

Has anyone ever seen this brace for a serpentine setup? It came with my setup (it was from a Caprice though), but I can't figure out for the life of me where it is supposed to mount. It looks like it should mount near the alternator due to what looks like a rad hose gaurd, but I can't find anyway it would fit in that area.

Re: Serpentine brace

I actually have that one installed already. The one pictured above is about 1/2" longer.

Re: Serpentine brace

I thought it looked like the one on the alternator side to. There is also one on the A/C side. The one in the picture looks to have an additional bracket welded on it. I have not seen one like that.

Re: Serpentine brace

That's what is throwing me off - it looks original though. Since my setup is from a B-body, maybe this brace is specific to those cars

I've also got the A/C braces, and this one is quite different from them.

Re: Serpentine brace

You are probably right on the B body car.

Re: Serpentine brace

I'm thinking so - I posted it up on a B-body board as well to see if I get any response there. Our of the pictures I have scavenged online, I have yet to see one that looks like this.
