wideband o2 sensor question

How does it work with our ecu. Can it or no? I want to get a reading of what my afr is. I will be having one in for sure when i install my megasquirt but i dont know how long that will be.

Some wideband controllers can be configured to provide a simulated narrowband output to work with the stock computer.
