many questions

hello all i recently bought a chiltons manual for my 1986 iroc camaro and needed clarification on some things.
How would one remove all the ground effects on the camaro?
How would one remove the rear hatch shocks.
How would one remove hood shocks?
How hard would it be to remove all the iroc rims and repaint then stock what color would that be?

Sorry all for the avalanche of questions but this board is very helpful...

Re: many questions

How would one remove the rear hatch shocks.
Open hatch; support; unscrew. Note: the hatch is HEAVY!!!! And I don't mean, just, heavy; I mean, HEAVY!!!! Like, a couple hundred lbs. Don't think you're going to stand there and hold it with one hand while undoing the hardware with the other. You can SERIOUSLY HURT YOURSELF, and/or your car, if that thing gets loose and falls on you.
How would one remove hood shocks.
Open hood; support; unscrew. At least, that isn't quite so heavy; only 70 lbs or something, if it's a steel hood.
How hard would it be to remove all the iroc rims
Same as any other rims.... jack up car, rotate lug nuts counterclockwise, remove tires, clean, mask, squirt.

Re: many questions

If you're going after the side GFX there's one stud bolt that you have to remove the rear seat plastic to get to.

Re: many questions

Heres a link to a good article on how to clean up and refinish your rims so they are like new.http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=9
Not sure on stock color, believe most are some sort of gray.
