crankshaft bolt hole

quick question! what size is the hole? My 350 rebuild I'am doing ;the crank hole will not let the bolt go in, looks like the 1st few threads are a bit ragged,so I need to know what size tap I need? Or should I go about this another direction?
Thanks

Re: crankshaft bolt hole

7/16"-20 (7/16" UNF)
