power steering belt

i have an 1982 trans am, it's a 305, carb, auto trans. i have the v-belt system still on it. my power steering belt is very loose and when i move the steering wheel the slightest bit at all it makes an awful racket. i looked at the pulley and it looks like just a circular hole, doesn't look like you can get any type of socket in there, but i couldn't get a real good like. any ideas how to tighten this thing help? any suggestions would be great at this point

Re: power steering belt

just loosen up the bolts in the slots and take up the slack. don't pry on the pump though.
