valve seals removal and replacement

valve seals removal and replacement

is it possible to replace valve seals without removing the heads ?

Yes. The problem is that you have to remove the valve springs to get to them, and the only thing holding the valves in the heads are the retainers on the springs.

Some people say use compressed air into the spark plug hole, others put the piston at that cyl at TDC. Other people just fill the cylinder with some sort of soft pliable rope, like nylon. I figure the rope or rubber hose idea should be fine, just got to make sure the valve doesnt fall into the motor because I'm not sure how you'd get it back up without removing the heads, but I'm not as knowledgable about this stuff as other guys here are.
