i think i found my cam

ok. after searching for 2 days more or less. and thinking about what my intensions are for this t/a. can u guys tell me if i chose the right cam. cars is in my sig.

all opinions welcomed. good and bad.

comp cams XEK12-256-4,with all new rockers,lifters,timing chain,and push rods.etc.

212/218/ 449/456 +4* advance with a 112 LSA

i wanted to maintain emissions and my cc carb. i didn't want a stupid lope, but a mild and respcfull one is sweet. i didn't want to send my cpu into a fit.
it is not my DD and will never see the strip, except for my own curriousity.

i will in time install a 2300 -2500 stall and P&P my heads, but this will let me run it now and add those things later.

my exhaust for now is fact manifolds with a mac Y-pipe and a mac off road pipe with air tube. with a American thunder catback. please spare me the flow or blowmaster bashing. i like them and the drone they make.
and they even sound better with a cam behind them. i know i'm weird.lol.

shorty headers will come later as well.

so with all that said can u guys tell me what kind of power at the wheels or motor i can expect. i know its in the search, but i'm all searched out. so could u please hummor me.thank u.
Jay.

Re: i think i found my cam

i would go with long tube headers, just because they flow alot better and you won't be happy with shorty's i allready have them and i can tell you longtubes is the way to go

Re: i think i found my cam

How does that compare to a stock L98 cam, just out of curiosity?

long tubes aren't emissions campatable and i don't want to grind anything to make them fit. they are just not the direction i want to go.
i am keeping the original motor in this. no 350 swap for me.
not sure about the l98 specs.
