oil pan r&r in car?

oil pan r&r in car?
Have you ever R&R the oil pan while still in the car. I ve got the 305 tpi and t-5. I see the bellhousing is quite protrusive and wonder if it can be done. Really dont wanna pull the motor unless 100% necessary. I can see the y pipe is coming off for sure any help greatly appreciated!

Well thanks for pointing me in the right direction! That thread boosted my confidence. Do you recommend a stock replacement or something a lil better, more capacity?One thing i didnt learn was if you have to remove the cooler lines for kc4 oil cooler? Thanks again!

The coolant lines to the oil cooler will be a struggle. The brackets that hold them on the engine bolt onto the engine using the oil pan bolts and they wrap around the front side of the engine. You may be able to use an bungie cord to put enough pull on them to clear.
I can tell you that if you have to pull them loose, they will pee on you....
