Can someone identify this sensor??

I've been gradually putting my 355 together which was originally a LB9. I have found this sensor with the wire attached in the engine bay and cannot for the life of me figure out what it is. If anyone can let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Re: Can someone identify this sensor??

I don't think it's a O2 sensor a 13 mm wrench fits it, so it's pretty small. I was thinking it might be some kind of temp sensor, but really have no idea. There isn't a hole in the bottom or anything just flat. It does have the connector attached to it pictured which is only one prong. Any other ideas??

That is a egr temp switch. It changes state when the egr valve is open on a maf tpi car. Map cars use the amp sensor to tell with the egr valve is open.
