Engine: 350 5.7 Liter

Transmission: 700r

Transmission question

If you have a Automatic 700r Shift kit transmission can you use 1 2 D D for gear 1234 like a manual car. i know you dont get the power of the manual but is it better for when you say, racing. Just wondering if I should bother with it or if it will screw up the trans. Thanks
