Transmission: 4L60/4L80E/9HP48

Gas Tank capacity of my Iroc
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but it is a technical question. I just purchased an '89 Iroc and the fuel gauge isn't accurate. I've filled the tank twice because the gauge was near empty, and each time it's only taken 9.4 to 9.6 gallons to fill the tank. I believe 3rd gen F-Bodies have 15-16 gallon tanks but I'm not quite sure. Does anyone know the capacity of the tank?

Thanks ladyjynx, I figured it had to be 15-16 gallons, but I wanted to get insight from other members. I forgot all about google.
