1985 lg4 more power
1985 lg4 more power
hey i'm kinda new to this board but i got a 1985 ta with the LG4 engine, i am rebuilding a 350 for it this summer but it will not be ready until next winter, my question is i still want to have fun with this car this summer, i got a edelbrock intake a 1405 carb and header i could put on it, just wondering if putting these on would be worth it and if i would have any noticeable hp gains, the car is a canadian model with no ECM, and like i said a 350 is gonna be going in next winter so i do not want to bother putting a cam in the LG4
any help will be great

Re: 1985 lg4 more power
I would plan on a set of heads with the 350 and cam all at once. I suggest doing a search in this part of the forum there has been a lot of people with the same question.

I would get the exhaust ready for the new engine. Flowmaster or dynomax. Save the other for the 350.

Re: 1985 lg4 more power
just got home from the shop, finished putting on the edelbrock 1405carb 2101 intake and flowtech headers, and got rid of all the emission stuff, and wow what a difference, the car seems to have way more top end
