Hey I bought this car over the winter and have recently started driving as the weather in NY has improved my question is does temperature have anything to do with the idle speed? In the mourning when the temperature is 30-40 degrees it idles were it should around 700rpm but when its warm in the afternoon it idles around 1100rpms and then I have problems with run ons is has anybody else expirenced this? This is my first carburated vehicle and from what I was told when I bought it, it had sat for awhile.

 

I would check your idle screw, or even better... rebuild the carb
