Heater core help????
my heater core was leaking and I bypassed it like a yr ago. but now I figured its about time I fixed it. i bought the core itself, but I just havent been out there to look at it. What am i gettin into????? is it a simple fix?????
Re: Heater core help????
the heater core isnt too bad, just a PITA to get to, there are many threads detailing the process, a haynes/chilton manual would be helpful as well.
have you had any issues with bypassing? and how did you do it?
ive bypassed mine by hooking up the 2 hoses going to the heater core and it now runs rough for the first 7 seconds and then runs fine, but throws a SES and runs a tad rich

Generally a butt pain. Perhaps the following link, along with a search, will help:
