Re: rocker stud torque spec?

that may work, but my AFR head sheet says studs should be torqued to 60 ft/lbs

Factory spec for SBC screw in studs into cast iron heads is 50 pounds.

60 pounds for aluminum heads. Also use red loctite.

Re: rocker stud torque spec?

Check to see if any of the rocker stud holes go through to the intake ports. Lots of aftermarket heads with large intake runners (190cc+) have the stud holes going right through to the intake ports.

If they do, you will have to use some fuel/oil resistant thread sealer on them. I had to do this with my 200cc World/Dart heads.
