Camshaft Installation question

I've got a 1989 L98 block and I picked up a camshaft retainer. Aside from the retainer itself (and the 2 bolts that hold it on), is there anything (like a washer or bearing) that goes between the retainer and the block or the retainer and the cam? From what I've seen, the retainer just bolts right up without anything behind it (aside from the cam of course). I just want to make sure before I go ahead and bolt it up.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Camshaft Installation question

Nope thats it! just the thrust plate.

It will get plenty of oil from the front bearing. They don't wear much unless you have a HV/HP oil pump that puts a lot of drag on the camshaft pulling the gear into the plate more than a stock unit.
