Rocker Studs
Hey guys, I just replaced one of my heads with an RHS OEM head, same as the stock cast and print but it has screw in studs. I was wondering if its possible to take the stock GM studs out of the stock head, and tap the holes so i can throw a pair of 7/16" screw in studs on both heads, sense i have a pair of rollers that are 7/16"
P.s. i have a machinist that will do this, if noted 'safely possible'

Re: Rocker Studs
If you have screw in studs now, then 7/16 stud change over should be just simple R&R... the 7/16 studs and 3/8 studs use the same size thread on the base, and the top is bigger. Should just be able to buy new studs and put them in....? At least, thats how I always understood it.

Re: Rocker Studs
Yes, that's completely possible. As mentioned, just the top of the studs is larger.
For your aftermarket heads it's simply a remove and replace deal. The other head will require the factory studs be pulled out, hole tapped to 7/16NC, and the boss milled down for the studs to sit on. Then they will be identical. Your machinist can do this easily. I actually did this by hand with an angle grinder - I don't recommend it.
