Car wont start
Okay I put in my 1991 Trans Am GTA over the winter in a garage and now when spring is here, it doesn't start anymore. I am not very car sawy but I have gone over the fuses just in case. I believe the fuel pump starts when you turn the key but the engine doesn't start anyway.
I am thinking maybe the rotor could be the cause? But the rotor was swapped and so where the fuses and wires where in 2005, and the car has probably only 15k kilometers on it since that. Another option I suppose could be the ECM, I have put in my own chip which runs on pretty much stock config, the old stock chip was not quite right so I got a writable one. I am thinking maybe it has gone blank, could that explain the symptoms?
The battery has now also been swapped for a new one without any success.
I cannot just go to my car and try stuff right now as it's about 70km away :/ I will get there on sunday though so if you guys have any ideas it'd be appreciated!

Re: Car wont start
Air, fuel, spark. Air is almost never the problem. Pull a plug, set it on the block or somewhere else that will ground it (don't hold on to it or you'll be sorry), crank the engine and see if it sparks. Then you'll know if the ignition is working. If that's not it, then its your fuel injectors or pump. Narrow your options down. I'm a carbed guy so I don't have much wisdom to share on the subject of fuel injection.
