No TPS Reading?
I tried to check the reading on my throttle position sensor with a multimeter and no reading comes up. Does this mean that the sensor is bad?

May mean it doesn't have any voltage going to it, or you aren't probing the proper wires.

Re: No TPS Reading?
five7kid - I have a code 22...low TPS voltage. I check it and got a reading so far down on the range that it puzzled me. My reading was .03 with my meter set at the 12vDC setting. I know it's supposed to be in the .54 volt range. I can't get the sensor, even at max setting to get any higher then .07volts. The sensor seems to have a full range up to 1.9 v when advancing the throttle. I previously got the correct readings at last tune up. Think its a bad TPS? Any thoughts?

I am probing the right wires (neg on top pos in middle). Ill check to see if I have voltage from the connector.

Re: No TPS Reading?
I checked for power from the connector and the only wire that had power to it was terminal c (gray wire). The light was extremely dim though. Could this be a problem?

85iroc-z - between the A and C terminals you should get a reading of 5 volts. Like you I too am getting a low reading of only 3 volts here and I'm wondering if I have a bad TPS. Hoping five7kid checks in and lends his opinion to us both.

Re: No TPS Reading?
Any clue what might be causing the dim light? What should I look into?

Get a digital volt meter. A light isn't going to tell you anything.

five7kid-I just replaced the TPS and I still get a low reading...around .03 volts. Any ideas where to look next? I hate electrical gremlins.
