Whats wrong here?
Ok so I deleted my cat today and put a test pipe in its place (No cat, no muffler, Pretty much straight single stock pipe) and I forgot to crimp my air tube. I was on my way home and my SES light came on for about a minute or two then it went off. My question is, can not having the air tube crimped cause my SES light to come on? Any help would be awesome, thanks.

Step 1: Check to see what trouble code was set (probably related to EGR).
Step 2: Come back here with that information.

Re: Whats wrong here?
Went to autozone and got it checked out today. Didnt show up anything on the code reader. I thought once a code was tripped that they were stored? I know the battery didn't die or come loose or anything because my clock still reads the same on my radio. Whats going on?

Re: Whats wrong here?
the air pipe should have no effect . i have had the same thing happen to me . lite will come on then go off and leave no codes . i think it's e.g.r. sticking for a moment ??? i'm not too concerned about mine , everything else is fine . remove air pipes and plug manifold with 1/4 n.p.t. plugs .
