-32 oil temp??
Hey everyone,
This is my first post and i'm looking for some help. I recently used an obd scanner to view my live vehicle data ie:temps, voltage etc.. My car, by the way is a 92 z28 5.0 tpi. Everything seemed up to par but the scanner thought that my engine oil was like negative 32 degrees which i know isnt right. I'm guessing that I have a bad sensor somewhere but im not sure which one. I thought cts but I think that its only for coolant. Then I though oil sender but isnt that just for pressure? Anyways, I'de like to fix this. Any input from you guys would help.
Thanks in Advance,
Patrick

Re: -32 oil temp??
-32 is the what you get when, its -32 degrees outside, or the sensor, wiring or that part of the computer is "open" A quick test and this goes for coolant temp as well is to jump the connector with a paper clip, If the scan tool , goes from -32 to +250 or higher, then the wiring and computer is fine, and the sensor is messed up.
