My car is smoking on start up and I cant figure out why. I just put valve seals in it and the car has only been driven about 5 miles since then. The engine was freshly built also. What could be causing this?

 

faulty head gasket? intake gasket? might have not sealed up right when u put the heads back on,,,, gaskets are cheap..sbc are easy take it goo and do it again, make sure you use the proper torque sequences when taking the heads off and putting them back on...

 

Valve guides could be worn or the valves themselves could be worn.
