Oil Pump Question

Car: 1992 Camaro RS
Engine: 3.1 V6
Transmission: Automatic
Oil Pump Question
Putting in a new oil pump in 350. Question is it seems the drive shaft for the pump seems to wobble alil bit when i turn the pump. is this ok? Ive tryed all means to get in the slot further but it wont go.

The top part of the drive shaft is held in place by the sleeve in the bottom of the distributor gear. The bottom of the drive shaft is held in place by a plastic sleeve on the oil pump. Whan it's installed, the shaft won't wobble.
