Name that Part

I replaced the coil yesterday and I found something I can not identify. There is a bracket that screws in to the same screws as the coil. It holds what appears to be some sort of Vacuum related item which sits to the right (passengers side) of the coil. One side has two tubes going in using a rubber jack that lines both up. The other side has a space for a hose with a little metal bracket that should hold the hose in place, but there is no hose. Can anyone tell me what this is and where the missing hose should run?
