Wrapping headers

So I've had my headers on my 305 for about 8 months now and I have no issues with overheating, but I was wondering how good it actually works to wrap your headers? I've heard that it causes very rapid rusting?

Don't bother.
You can get them ceramic coated if you want. Should be a place in that big city that can do it for you in 2-3 days. Expect to pay $200 or so.

Re: Wrapping headers

Not much difference at all......

I had already ordered mine, so i wrapped em anyway. Cost was alot. They will attract moisture, they will always smell, and will smoke if you leave your car standing alot, because they attract dust and such.....

They do however, keep exhaust gases at a higher heat (low density) and flow a bit quicker. WHich is the only reason i have them on. My headers were $50, so its not a big deal for me.

Dont waste ur money.
