What engine do i really have?
hello everyone im kinda new to this forum so heres to hoping im in the right place. im havin a bit of trouble figuring out which engine is in my 82 z-28 . if my research is correct then i have a 1975 350 block with 1964 - 1966 327 heads, but there is just something that doesnt seem right about that. the casting number for the block is "3970010" with a suffix stamp of V 313TXB and the casting number of the heads is "3782461" just below the head casting number was stamped " E145" and next to the block number was "19" i hope with these numbers someone can help me identify what im working with thanks for the help

thanks ive checked that site and several others and from them all ive deteremned what kind of head and block i have. i guess what im really curious about it why the guy who owned it before what put 327 heads on a 350 block wouldnt that be kind of working backwards ?

I don't know if it would be working backwards he probably used 327 heads to raise the compression.
