camshafts

hey i bought the comp cams xe262h cam for my vortec head sbc 350 and now im having second thoughts. Now im thinking i should have gone with the xe268h cam. What do you guys think? (these are the 2 biggest cams you can run without a bigger torque converter, and i dont have the money to get one of those yet). Here are the specs for the cams:

xe262h: 218/224 duration @.05, .462/.469 lift

xe268h: 224/230 duration @.05, .477/.480 lift

Re: camshafts

IMHO, Probably better off to stick with the xe262h. You'll only have to swap out new lifters with the cam, and probably wont have to touch your valve springs.

Cheers,
Trev

Re: camshafts

if they say change them - then do it. perhaps if you can trade it in for the other than i would. if it costs more to switch to the other cam - id stick with what you got.

Re: camshafts

well they are the same price so i could return the one i have and get the other, but im just wondering if there would be any horsepower/torque increase and how much of an increase there would be.
