Underdrive Pulleys?

Do the underdrive pullies really do anything for these cars? I know they are a common mod for 5.0 mustangs, but they don't seem to be so common for our cars, and I'm not sure how much they help. I tried searching the topic but only got 1 brief opinion.

Thanks

More of an import thing. Once you get rid of all the other bottlenecks, you can reach for those things, but there are so many other ones that give more HP/$ with less negative drawbacks.....

It'll be a while. I still use normal pullies.

Re: Underdrive Pulleys?

i have trans adapt (i think) underdrive pullies.....i have had them i since like the second month i bought the car......at the time i put some cheaper stuff on the car at the same time....did the throttle body bypass, put on an airfoil, put on the pullies, and put on an msd 6a box and wires......i did notice a difference in the performance of the car.....the only problem i ever have had is at idle with like the a/c or heater at full blast, the stereo going and the headlights on, sitting at a stoplight i can watch the volt meter drop slowly....and the lights dim out......but it's not really that big of a deal....plus it spins you accersories slower at high rpm which makes them last longer..
