Do I need a New Fuel Pump for my V6 to V8 conversion?
Ok so I dropped a V8 350 with a TBI injection (88 suburban injectors) into my 89 RS V6 2.8L car. I used the wiring harness out of a 91 5.0 TBI RS. It idels and starts fine but loses power as the RPMs climb.
Do I need a new fuel pump? If so witch one?

In theory, no, but the only way to know if fuel delivery is your problem would be to get a pressure gage on it and see what happens when it acts up.

what did you do to make the fuel pump come on for both injectors? have you adjusted your timing? i have the same conversion (kinda)... 89 2.8 to 5.7 92'. only 1 injector is firing, but i have to manually give it power, let me know what you did please.

At what RPM does the power start to drop? Stock TBI engines were never known for their high RPM power....
