Help needed - Car wont start.

Hi guys.Mine is 84 trans am with stock motor (215000 km ) on it.Last month i got a flooding problem in engine 2-3 times and a friend of mine helped me taking out the spark plugs, and putting them back after cleaning it with sand paper and sharp pin,all the time car started after we cleaned the spark plugs.

Yesterday i decided to put Brand new spark plugs (Bosh platinum plus $5 each)/ Accel spark plug wires $49.99 / Accel cap and router kit $39.99.i marked the firing order on wires before i took all plugs apart,it was like this if you stand in front of the car with hood open:-
8-7
6-5
4-3
2-1

After i installed plugs/wires and cap-router kit,car is not starting up.Looks like engine is trying but all in vain.I noticed excessive gas smell amd smoke coming out from carburator.Guys i am not a mechanic, just tring to save some bucks by doing some stuff by myself. If you guys can help me that will be great. Thanks

Do yourself a favor and get rid of the bosch plugs and get AC Delco.

Smoke coming out of the carb is a good sign that the plug wires aren't on right, or the distributor is way off. Did you pull out the distributor? Double check all of the plug wires, and double check that #1 is in the right place on the distributor cap.
