Scanner Codes i pulled today.. whats this telling me

Ok so my check engine came on last night on my way home so i went to the shop today and pulled the codes. I have been thinking its my egr valve so i ordered a new one and it will be here this week. But can anyone see anything worng with this stats or is it just my egr valve?

Code 32 EGR SYSTEM PROBLEM

open/closed: open
Exhaust Oxygen- Lean
TPS: 0.68
Block Learn- 128
IAC POSTITION- 160

The EGR valve is only costing me 52 dollars to replace and i cleaned pulled and cleaned up the old one and the car seems to get better gas mileage now. I also replaced the 2 gaskets around the TBI ring plate and that seemed to help as well.

On TPIs there's a temp sensor next to the EGR valve that goes bad, but can be repaired. Not sure if TBI engs have it or not. If your eng has one, might wanna check it while you're in there.

Assuming the "open/close" refers to loop status, open loop is not good if eng is running and warmed up. It's normal on a cold eng.

Can you monitor the o2 sensor voltage with the scanner? It should be moving around. If o2 sensor is dead, it will prevent ecm from going into "closed loop".

At idle, I'm pretty sure the TPS voltage should be .54 volts. A quick search should let you know for sure. It should be set after setting min idle.

Block learn-128 = Thats good if ECM is in closed loop mode. If its in open loop, it will always read 128.

IAC position will vary depending on eng load at idle.

ill have to put the scanner back on today and see if i am getting a reading from the o2 sensor or not. Ive been planning on replacing the egr, o2 and fuel filter.
