350 to 350 next friday
Sup guys.
I've been working on a 350 to 350 swap for some time now. This upcoming friday I will be taking out my current engine (only thing connecting it to my car is the tranny and mounts), and putting in my new first rebuilt engine (WOOT!).
Yeah, so I was really hoping that some of you might toss me some advice, or tell me about some issues you had/have during your engine swaps so I can be prepared and know what to expect on my 1st swap. I'll have from 10am-5pm to swap it. At minimum I just need to hook up my rebuilt engine to my flywheel and have it mounted it the car, I'm not expecting to hook up all the wiring in this timeframe.
Preciate all questions, comments, concerns, and thoughts. =]
Edit btw. 350 TPI, manual, all stock.

Staying with the same fuel system makes it a straight forward swap. If you are switching to a carb, then search the threads. You can find almost anything here for information.

Yeah it's a TPI to TPI setup.
I guess the easiest way to pull the engine is through the top, and keeping the tranny in the car? (L98 and T5 are what I'm workin with)
I took off the heads too, is that gonna be a problem to pull out the engine with them off?
Do any of you have a site where they have step by step or pics of taking out a 82-92 fbody L98 engine?

Taking the engine and tranny out together is much easier than apart, although removing the manual transmission from the bellhousing is fairly simple and does make engine removal/installation easier.
A simple Haynes or Chiltons shop manual will have all the detail you really need.
Since this isn't an engine "swap" topic, but rather an engine "replacement", moving to Tech.
