tailshaft housing
i have a 700r4 out of my 92 bird that is for a 3.1 , will that shaft housing work on a 700r4 out of a truck with a sbc (i swapped to a 350 in my 92 bird) if i were to get one to put in my car so that i have the torque arm mount? also i was wondering what kinda of cheap$ manual tranny would be good to put use if i were to convert my car, i heard that t5's aren't strong enough to handle more than 280 torque?

Sorry, missed your thread earlier.
The TH700R-4 tailshaft housings interchange between 60-degree V6 and 90-degree V6/V8 transmissions.
There is no good, cheap manual transmission. If you are converting, the best bet is to find an LT1 f-body ('93-'97 V8) T56 take-out.
