loose vacuum hose
Hi,
Today I discovered a vacuum hose that should connect somewhere....
Its by the firewall on driver side connected to a small 3-way check valve I think. Hose is 40-50 cm long or so. One of the other connecting hoses leads forward past the canister into a T. The remaining one is thinner and is hooked up alonside the firewall then disappears into a wire loom. There is the letter P on the valve...
Car is an 85 carbed, lg4
anybody?

Re: loose vacuum hose
The hose that disappears into the wiring loom goes through the firewall and supplies vacuum to run the HVAC vacuum servos and such under the dash to direct the air to blow out of the vents you select on the dash slider.
The other goes forward to the driver's front corner to the vacuum reserve canister (round plastic ball inside the driver's fender) and the cruise control unit, if your car is so equipped.
